Brenda Andersen, 1970's Brenda Andersen was raised in London, where she was attending art school when she met Weston during the second world war. After the war, they eventually ended up on Southport Island, where together they established Andersen Design, which originally stated as Ceramics by Andersen. These cats were modeled after The Andersen's own cats and like Andersen's other sculptures are slip-cast and hand crafted and then finished in Andersen's original glazes. Brenda died in 1994 but her legacy lives on in the Andersen's small art ceramic production studio on the coast of Maine.
